AT THE ASCENSION of Jesus, we might have expected the disciples to be sad. But having done all that was said about him in the Scriptures and with the assurance that he would always be with them in his Word, the disciples could not help but rejoice and be glad. We echo their thoughts: Christ Jesus has ascended amid shouts of triumph.
