EPIPHANY ENDS AS IT BEGAN—with the voice of God the Father shouting from heaven, “This is my Son.” This time it does not take place in the valley of the Jordan river but on top of a mountain. This time it does not begin his earthly preaching ministry but it closes it. After Jesus is transfigured he “sets his face toward Jerusalem” and to his cross. Before the coming suffering one more time we see Jesus in his full glory.
